MMQG April 2016 Meeting

                   

Our April meeting was held on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The room was abuzz with chatter as our members gathered in our awesome meeting space and readied for our April meeting.  We missed meeting during March due to weather conditions so the excitement was high.
  Adrienne, our President, opened the meeting by greeting several new faces with the hopes of them becoming new members. After a quick business meeting, member Anja treated everyone to an awesome tutorial on how she machine binds her quilts.

 We learned lots of tips on how to perfect your machine binding skills, Thanks to Anja for an interesting program.   

Our swap for April was a curated charm pack and several members participated.  Then it was on to Show and Share time.  There are lots of photos to share.  If you have any questions about any of the photos, please get in touch.  

Our members are all very prolific in their creating so we always have an awesome Show and Share time.  Our 1st ever quilting retreat was held this past weekend and a post will be up soon so you can see all the amazing fun that was had by our members.  Stay tuned!

UPDATE on ‪#‎87pillows‬ - Our Jeanette @ Stamp Stitch Create tells us that, to date, the tally for her initiative of collecting 87 x 14" pillows, one for each resident of Maplestone Care Facility in Fairview, has hit the 50 mark. WooHoo! Keep 'em coming!

MMQG March Sew-In Day Recap

Today was the March Sew-In Day for the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild.  10 modern quilters showed up to share in a fun day of sewing and socializing.  Thought you would like to see what they were all working on.  Here are a few shots of the happenings.
