MMQG June Sew-In Day RECAP

This past Saturday was MMQG's June Sew-In Day.... aka Fun-Day!  13 members brought all their gear and settled in for a wonderful day of sewing, sewing, sewing! There were baby quilts being quilted, there were bindings being made and attached, there were quilt blocks being sewn into quilt tops, there was baby clothes being made, there was paper-piecing and hexie making and quilt consults and lots more. On top of all that, there was friendship and support along with a lot of inspiration.  You should come next time!
Here's a few pics of  some of the quilty goodness going on during the day.
Linda worked on her "Urban Candy" quilt top

Another project by Linda.

microwave bowl holder by Julie

Val got lots done on a Star Wars quilt for a special someone
Anja's awesome paperpiecing project.

Dena's doggie block...so cute!

Valerie was ready to sew up a storm.

  1. Edit: I did make microwave bowls, however cred goes to Julie as that is her bowl (that I borrowed for observation purposes heh). It was a fun day with everyone!

  2. I see so much quilty goodness going on, and I can almost hear the laughter and the banter! One of these days, I'll be able to experience a sew-in, in person! Glad you all had a good time!

  3. Everyone's projects look wonderful but I want to give a shout out to Amanda. That quilt looks very awesome (and looks Cheryl Arkison-ish in my opinion).
