MMQG May Meeting Recap.

Last night, our May meeting was held at 1 Prince St., in Dartmouth and was very well attended by 20 members and one surprise guest.  We were very happy to have Kristyn, a member of the London Modern Quilt Guild, join us while she was visiting in the area.  Hope you get a chance to visit us again, Kristyn.

After a short business meeting, we got straight to our program for the evening. MMQG member, Dena, treated us to a presentation on the subject of paperpiecing.  Dena is a whiz at paper piecing and we all learned her approach to the technique and some tips as well.  Here are some of Dena's larger paper pieced quilts

This little mini was super cute

Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday to our President, Adrienne .  I won't tell you how old she is but it rhymes with shorty!  We all enjoyed a piece of cake and then settled back to enjoy Show and Share time.  Unfortunately, a few of the photos didn't turn out very nice for posting, so apologies to some of the members whose quilts aren't included in this post.

Adrienne just needs to do some quilting and this one will be done.

Sorry Jeanette, the lighting was horrible but still wanted to show your amazing quilt.

  2. I am finding it quite difficult to find good meeting room for our seminars. We are doing some seminars here in Chicago and never been here earlier. Looking for some great recommendations meeting spaces in Chicago, if you know some.
