Sunday night and while I am on a fabric fast, that does not stop me from thinking about fabric. I was thinking it would be nice to have a list of Maritime Local Quilt Stores and our Favourite Canadian on-line shops here on the blog. Leave a comment with your faves! Where are you shopping?
Only one retail shop in Charlottetown, Quilting B and More. As for online, Mad About Patchwork is the largest Canadian one I know of. I have s limited amount of Moda fabrics.

Oh we also have Fabricville and Island Fabrics. These shops both have a quilting cotton section along with drapery and home decor
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Sew Sisters in Toronto (http://www.sew-sisters.com/) and Fabricspot. In terms of "real" shops I visit, it's mainly the Dartmouth location of Atlantic Fabrics (http://www.atlanticfabrics.com/) and Avonport Discount Fabrics (http://www.avonportdiscountfabrics.com/)
ReplyDeleteIf you visit Amherst, there is Mrs Pugsley's Emporium and Dayle's Dept Store. Suttles and Seawinds in Mahone Bay. A Needle Pulling Thread in Digby and It's Sew Time in Elmsdale. Sew with Vision in Herring Cove.
ReplyDeleteOn line, I order from Hyggeligt Fabrics, Log Cabin Yardage, Mad About Patchwork, Stitch in the Ditch and Cindy's Threadworks.
Moving down from Digby along the French shore, there are three quilt shops. In Digby are Complete Fabrications and Needle Pulling Thread. And further down Rte. 1 in Comeauville is the Panier d'Art. I also have ordered from the Kickass Country Store- mostly batting and backing, as well as Sew Sisters and Mad about Patchwork.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about opening a modern LQS in town but I'm not sure there's enough of a customer base.
